Chromebooks under the same management
The Chromebook edition extends FortiClient to ChromeOS devices so a Chromebook fleet is managed from the same EMS as the rest of the endpoint estate, rather than being a separate island with its own console. It is licensed per device in the same endpoint tiers as the other editions, and is available either with EMS hosted by FortiCloud or against an on-premise EMS.
Web filtering where it matters most
The main control the Chromebook agent carries is FortiGuard web filtering, which is typically the reason these fleets are licensed at all — shared and student devices where acceptable-use policy has to be enforced on the device rather than only at the network edge.
