FortiAP 432FR
UL Class 1 Division 2 certified for hazardous locations - the access point for a refinery, a plant or a silo.
Certified for Where Other Access Points Cannot Go
The 432FR is the model for an environment where an ordinary enclosure is not allowed: UL Class 1 Division 2 certification means it is approved for locations where flammable gas or vapour may be present under abnormal conditions. Refineries, chemical plants, grain handling and fuel storage are the deployments. It carries Zigbee as well as BLE, which matters where the wireless estate includes industrial sensors rather than just laptops.
Managed From the Firewall, Not a Controller
A FortiAP has no separate controller to buy, licence or patch. It is managed from a FortiGate, from FortiEdge Cloud or through FortiSASE, which means the wireless policy and the security policy are configured in the same place and the access point is part of the Security Fabric rather than a device bolted on beside it. For a site that already runs a FortiGate, adding wireless is adding an access point and nothing else.
